Product descriptions from the supplier

Description
Description

The ring main unit switchgear uses SF6 gas as arc extinguishing and insulating medium.

The switchgear is a fully sealed and fully insulated structure. Busbars, switches and live parts are completely enclosed in stainless steel housings.

The protection level reaches IP67.

Switchgear has a complete "five protection" interlocking device to prevent personnel and equipment malfunctions that may be caused by human misoperation.

All switchgears have reliable safety relief channels to ensure operator safety even in extreme situations.

The switchgear is divided into two types: fixed unit combination and expandable unit combination.

The switchgear usually enters and exits the cable from the front, and can also realize the side exit or side expansion according to different installation positions.

The size of the cabinet is easy to install, and it can be suitable for places with small space and poor environmental conditions.Electric, remote control and monitoring devices can be configured according to the different needs of users.

Feature

  • 24kV-class high-efficiency insulation: Utilizes SF₆ gas as the insulating medium, with insulation strength adapted to the 24kV voltage level and excellent arc-extinguishing performance. It can stably block current leakage in high-voltage environments, significantly reducing the risks of short circuits and flashovers, and ensuring the reliable operation of medium-voltage power grids.
  • Compact space adaptation: Boasts a small and compact structural design with a small footprint, making it particularly suitable for space-constrained scenarios such as urban distribution stations and industrial parks. It simplifies installation layouts while improving site utilization.
  • Multiple safety guarantees: Equipped with complete mechanical and electrical interlocking devices to prevent misoperations and incorrect switching; features a built-in SF₆ gas leakage monitoring system that provides real-time warnings of leakage risks. It complies with international medium-voltage equipment safety standards to ensure safety during operation and maintenance.
  • Low maintenance and long service life: The fully sealed gas chamber design effectively isolates dust, moisture, and corrosive substances, reducing erosion of internal components by the external environment. It enables long-term maintenance-free operation with a service life of over 20 years, significantly lowering the whole-life-cycle cost.
  • Flexible power distribution compatibility: Supports multiple wiring methods such as ring network and radial types, and can be quickly connected with 24kV-class transformers, cables, and other equipment. It adapts to the topological requirements of different medium-voltage distribution networks, meeting diverse power supply scenarios including urban power grids and large industrial plants.
  • Balance of environmental protection and economy: SF₆ gas is recyclable and reusable, reducing resource waste; the equipment has low operating energy consumption, and long-term usage costs are controllable, balancing environmental protection requirements and project economic benefits.

Why Does the Transformer Core Need to Be Grounded?During operation, the transformer core, along with the metal structures, parts, and components that fix the core and windings, are all situated in a strong electric field. Under the influence of this electric field, they acquire a relatively high potential with respect to ground. If the core is not grounded, a potential difference will exist between the core and the grounded clamping structures and tank, which may lead to intermittent discharge.I
