The Rockwill SF6 generator circuit breaker is the latest generation of a well-proven GCB platform, designed for installation between the generator and the step-up transformer in power plants with unit ratings up to 180 MW. Its open, accessible layout and compact footprint make it particularly suitable for retrofit projects and systems with open busbar configurations.
The breaker employs SF6 arc-quenching technology with both main and arcing contacts enclosed in SF6 gas for safe and reliable interruption. An innovative built-in direct contact ablation display continuously indicates contact wear, delivering the highest degree of safety for power plants with frequent switching operations, such as pumped-storage hydropower plants.
