125-252kV GIS insulation cylinder is an important component in gas insulated metal enclosed switchgear, mainly used to support and fix conductive components, while ensuring electrical insulation between various components and between conductive components and the casing. Here is a detailed introduction about it:
structural characteristics
Material: It is usually made of insulation materials such as epoxy resin, which has good insulation performance and mechanical strength.
Appearance: Generally cylindrical, it is used internally to accommodate conductive components and externally connected to the metal casing of GIS. Partial insulation cylinders may be designed in different shapes and sizes according to actual needs to accommodate different installation positions and electrical connection requirements. For example, in some GIS equipment, the insulation cylinder may have flanges for connecting with other components.
Internal structure: Some insulation cylinders will seal the vacuum arc extinguishing chamber of the switch, the main electrical part of the isolation and grounding switch in a cavity sealed with epoxy resin, which not only saves space and materials, but also improves the safety of the product.
Performance Requirements
Electrical performance: It needs to have good insulation performance and be able to withstand long-term electric field effects at voltage levels of 125-252kV. For example, the rated power frequency 1-minute withstand voltage (relative to ground) of the 252kV GIS insulation cylinder is 460kV, and the rated lightning impulse withstand voltage peak (1.2/50 μ s) (relative to ground) is 1050kV.
Mechanical performance: It should have sufficient mechanical strength to withstand the weight of conductive components inside GIS equipment, electromagnetic forces, and impact forces generated during operation. For example, when short-circuit current passes through, the insulation cylinder should be able to maintain the integrity of the structure without deformation or damage.
Sealing performance: The insulation cylinder needs to have good sealing performance to ensure that SF6 gas inside the GIS equipment will not leak and maintain the insulation and arc extinguishing performance inside the equipment. It is usually required that the SF6 gas leakage rate of each compartment of GIS equipment should not exceed 0.5% per year.
Environmental resistance: able to adapt to different environmental conditions, such as changes in temperature, humidity, altitude, etc. For example, in the temperature range of -35 ℃ to 40 ℃ and in areas with an altitude not exceeding 2000m, the insulation cylinder can work normally.
effect
Insulation isolation: Insulate the conductive components in GIS equipment from the casing and conductive components of different phases to prevent electrical short circuits and discharges, ensuring the safe operation of the equipment.
Supporting and fixing: Supporting and fixing the conductive components inside GIS equipment to maintain their correct position and spacing, ensuring the reliability and stability of electrical connections.
Protect internal components: Seal key components such as vacuum arc extinguishing chambers inside the chamber to prevent them from being affected by external environmental factors such as dust, moisture, etc., thereby improving the reliability and service life of the equipment.
