Product descriptions from the supplier

Description

This 40.5kV vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) is tailored for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) systems, integrating three-position functionality (breaking, isolating, and grounding) to streamline high-voltage power control. It supports a rated current of 1250A and a breaking capacity of 31.5kA, ensuring reliable protection against short circuits and overcurrents in medium-to-high voltage grids.

Adopting modular design, it is characterized by compact structure, good breaking performance, high reliability, long service life, complete isolation, maintenance free, small footprint, and can be widely used in industrial and civilian ring networks and terminal power supply networks. Especially suitable for small secondary distribution stations, switch stations, industrial and mining enterprises, airports, railways, highways, subways, commercial areas, residential areas, wind power, optoelectronics and other fields.

FAQ
Q: How to maintain the three-position GIS VCB?
A:

Check SF6 pressure and moisture annually; inspect the three-position mechanism every 5 years; the vacuum interrupter has no regular maintenance. It supports remote monitoring of pressure and partial discharge to realize predictive maintenance

Q: What scenarios is 40.5kV/1250A-31.5kA suitable for?
A:

It is suitable for 35kV1250A GIS switchgear in substations, industrial power distribution, railway traction power supply, and critical loads such as data centers, which requires high reliability and frequent operation

Q: What is the three-position function of this VCB?
A:

It integrates three functions in one: closing (carrying/breaking current), isolating (safe maintenance isolation), and earthing (equipment safety earthing), with mechanical interlocking to prevent misoperation, which is more integrated and reliable than separate switches
