Product Detail

Description:

UniGear 500R is very space efficient solution, designed to reduce the width of the medium-voltage airinsulated switchgear. Panel design is only 500 mm wide for feeder current up to 2000 A.Its compact design makes UniGear 500R ideal for container installation for primary distribution.

One of the main characteristics of the UniGear 500R switchgear is the isolation of the circuit-breaker from the main busbars by means of the three position disconnector.

FAQ
Q: What’s the difference in the circuit breaker for air-insulated vs gas-insulated?
A:
Air-insulated switchgear circuit breaker is typically removable or withdrawable. The circuit breaker is based on vacuum circuit technology. In the gas-insulated, it is fixed mounted. The function of withdraw is provided by a separate disconnecting switch. Typically, a three-position switch with connected, disconnected, and ready-to-earth position.
Q: What are the key features of ABB’s medium voltage switchgear products?
A:
ABB‘s primary medium voltage switchgear products are designed to connect and protect the evolving grid. They feature robust construction, advanced safety mechanisms, high reliability, and ease of maintenance. They are designed to handle high electrical loads and provide efficient power distribution with minimal losses.

What is a traveling wave?
Traveling Waves on LinesA traveling wave on a line refers to a voltage or current wave propagating along the line; it is also defined as a voltage or current signal traveling along a conductor.Steady-state traveling wave: A traveling wave propagating along the line during the normal operation of a system, generated by the system's power supply.Transient traveling wave: A suddenly occurring traveling wave during system operation, caused by ground faults, short-circuit faults, wire breakages, swit

Analysis of the Process of Transformer Oil of Specialty Transformers Being Contaminated by Microorganisms and the Treatment Measures
1 OverviewCases of transformer oil contaminated by microorganisms have been reported both domestically and internationally. Individual transformer manufacturers, user units, and research institutions have conducted specialized studies, but all focused on power transformers. This paper targets specialty transformers for specific applications (e.g., rectifier transformers for graphitization furnaces, submerged arc furnace transformers), exploring the process of microbial contamination of their tra

How is the contradiction between the small grounding residual current and the neutral point displacement voltage exceeding the standard resolved?
How is the contradiction between the small grounding residual current and the neutral point displacement voltage exceeding the standard resolved?
Contradiction PointsIn automatic tracking arc suppression coils, the adjustment precision is high, the residual current is small, and the operation is close to the resonance point. In an automatic tracking arc suppression coil grounding system, two factors must be considered: Under normal operating conditions, the long-term voltage displacement of the neutral point should not exceed 15% of the system's nominal phase voltage; In the case of a ground fault, the grounding residual current should be
