Description

Description:

This is a single-phase oil-immersed pad-mounted transformer certified by UL, specially designed for outdoor installation. It complies with UL 1561 (Dry-Type Transformer) or UL 1562 (Oil-Immersed Transformer) standards, suitable for capacity ranges of 15-500kVA, with voltage classes covering 7.2kV-34.5kV (high-voltage side) and 120-600V (low-voltage side). Its features include:

  • Structural Form: Adopts Pad-Mounted (box-type floor-mounted) design with a fully sealed structure, reaching IP65/66 protection rating, and can be directly placed on concrete foundations.
  • Insulation Medium: Uses mineral oil or high-flash-point silicone oil as insulation and cooling media, with fire and explosion protection performance (complying with UL 1203 explosion-proof standards).
  • Voltage Adaptation: The high-voltage side supports multiple voltage classes such as 7.2kV, 12.47kV, 13.8kV, 25kV, 34.5kV, etc., while the low-voltage side outputs 120V/240V (single-phase three-wire) or 208V/480V/600V (three-phase four-wire).

Core Functions:

  • Voltage Conversion: Steps down medium voltage (e.g., 7.2kV) to low voltage (e.g., 240V) to meet the power demand of residential, commercial, or small industrial loads.
  • Safety Isolation: Isolates the high and low voltage sides through an oil-immersed insulation design to improve safety.
  • Overload Protection: Equipped with a temperature controller and pressure relief valve, which automatically cuts off power when the oil temperature exceeds the set value (e.g., 80°C) or internal pressure is abnormal.
  • Environmental Adaptation: Withstands harsh environments such as high temperature, humidity, and dust, suitable for long-term outdoor operation.

Typical Application Scenarios:

  • Residential Power Distribution: Provides single-phase 240V power for individual villas and residential areas, supporting high-power devices such as air conditioners and water heaters.
  • Commercial Facilities: Supplies 120V/240V power for convenience stores, small shopping malls, gas stations, etc., meeting the needs of lighting and cash register systems.
  • Small Industrial Loads: Provides power for farms and small processing plants, such as driving water pumps and small motors.
  • Renewable Energy Access: Serves as a step-up or step-down device in photovoltaic and wind power projects, adapting to distributed power generation scenarios.

Impact of DC Bias in Transformers at Renewable Energy Stations Near UHVDC Grounding ElectrodesWhen the grounding electrode of an Ultra-High-Voltage Direct Current (UHVDC) transmission system is located close to a renewable energy power station, the return current flowing through the earth can cause a rise in ground potential around the electrode area. This ground potential rise leads to a shift in the neutral-point potential of nearby power transformers, inducing DC bias (or DC offset) in their

In practical work, insulation resistance of distribution transformers is generally measured twice: the insulation resistance between thehigh-voltage (HV) windingand thelow-voltage (LV) winding plus the transformer tank, and the insulation resistance between theLV windingand theHV winding plus the transformer tank.If both measurements yield acceptable values, it indicates that the insulation among the HV winding, LV winding, and transformer tank is qualified.
