Description

Product Description

The Rockwill Compact Pad-Mounted Transformer Substation integrates transformer, switchgear and protection systems into a single, space-saving unit for voltages up to 75kV and capacities from 75kVA to 2500kVA. This innovative solution combines robust construction with intelligent design to deliver reliable power distribution in diverse environments.

Key Features

  • Advanced Enclosure System

The substation features a durable multi-layer enclosure with thermal insulation, optimized ventilation, and corrosion-resistant protection. Available in various materials including marine-grade aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and composite panels, the design ensures IP54-rated protection against dust, water, and vermin while maintaining an aesthetic appearance.

  • High-Voltage Switchgear System

Configurable with XGN15, HXGN17 or KYN28A switchgear options, the system supports multiple power supply modes including loop network, terminal supply, and dual-source redundancy. The integrated solution includes precision metering components and offers choice of SF6 load switches or vacuum circuit breakers, all protected by a comprehensive safety interlock system.

  • Low-Voltage Distribution System

The modular design incorporates GGD, GCS or MNS panel options with complete functionality for power distribution, lighting control, reactive power compensation and energy metering. Intelligent breakers with microprocessor protection and remote control capability are available alongside standard switching solutions in an ergonomic, maintenance-friendly layout.

  • Technical Advantages

With 30% more compact footprint than conventional solutions, the substation delivers superior performance through optimized heat dissipation and faster installation of pre-tested modular assemblies. All units undergo rigorous type-testing according to IEC 62271 standards.

  • Applications & Support

Ideal for urban networks, industrial parks, renewable connections and critical facilities, every Rockwill substation comes with factory test reports, 5-year warranty, lifetime support and custom configuration services. Our engineering team stands ready to develop solutions tailored to your specific voltage requirements, environmental conditions and smart grid integration needs.

Technical Parameters

Working Conditions

  • Altitude: no more than 2000M.

  • Ambient temperature: high temperature: +40ºC; Low temperature: -45ºC : high monthly average temperature: +30ºC : high annual average temperature: +20ºC;

  • installation environment: no explosive, corrosive liquid, gas and dust, installation site without violent shock, allowed in a certain period of time Or run completely submerged in water.

  • Ground acceleration induced by earthquake Ag; The horizontal direction is lower than 3m/s; The vertical direction is lower than 1.5m/s.

Impact of DC Bias in Transformers at Renewable Energy Stations Near UHVDC Grounding ElectrodesWhen the grounding electrode of an Ultra-High-Voltage Direct Current (UHVDC) transmission system is located close to a renewable energy power station, the return current flowing through the earth can cause a rise in ground potential around the electrode area. This ground potential rise leads to a shift in the neutral-point potential of nearby power transformers, inducing DC bias (or DC offset) in their

  • How to Test Insulation Resistance of Distribution Transformers
In practical work, insulation resistance of distribution transformers is generally measured twice: the insulation resistance between thehigh-voltage (HV) windingand thelow-voltage (LV) winding plus the transformer tank, and the insulation resistance between theLV windingand theHV winding plus the transformer tank.If both measurements yield acceptable values, it indicates that the insulation among the HV winding, LV winding, and transformer tank is qualified.
