Product descriptions from the supplier

Description

Isolating Switches with a current capacity of 160 to 1600 Amperes are suitable for use in circuits for making and breaking connections, as well as for electrical isolation. Switches with a rated current of 1000 Amperes or more are only to be used for electrical isolation. Three-pole and four-pole (3+1) switches are available. Suitable for low-voltage distribution cabinets, the following are specific cabinet bodies and details: GGD type low-voltage fixed switchgear, MNS type low-voltage withdrawable switchgear, GCS type low-voltage withdrawable switchgear, GCK type low-voltage withdrawable switchgear

Switches rated 1600 Amperes or less are available with an observation window, through which the state of the contacts (open or closed) can be directly observed.

Auxiliary contacts can be fitted if required.

Note: This Isolating Switch product only provides operation outside the cabinet

Order model: DNH8 (HGL) -630/3JH

If a visual observation window is required, the Isolating Switch order model is DNH8 (HGL) -630/3JKH

Why Do Substations Use Stones, Gravel, Pebbles, and Crushed Rock?In substations, equipment such as power and distribution transformers, transmission lines, voltage transformers, current transformers, and disconnect switches all require grounding. Beyond grounding, we will now explore in depth why gravel and crushed stone are commonly used in substations. Though they appear ordinary, these stones play a critical safety and functional role.In substation grounding design—especially when multiple gr

Why Does the Transformer Core Need to Be Grounded?During operation, the transformer core, along with the metal structures, parts, and components that fix the core and windings, are all situated in a strong electric field. Under the influence of this electric field, they acquire a relatively high potential with respect to ground. If the core is not grounded, a potential difference will exist between the core and the grounded clamping structures and tank, which may lead to intermittent discharge.I
